Our Wenatchee office held their second annual charity golf classic on October 4th at the Wenatchee Golf and Country Club benefiting The Children’s Home Society of Washington.
The golf classic received support from 32 sponsors, including the Presenting Sponsor, NC Machinery, along with 47 local contributors. Both Chad and Dan Goodfellow were among the 133 golfers that participated.
The event raised $50,653.21 in sponsorships, live auctions and raffle. GBI matched the funds raised, donating a total amount of $101,306.42 to The Children’s Home Society of Washington.
“It starts at the top with the Goodfellow Family,” said Travis Hendrick, GBI’s Director of Finance who oversees the Wenatchee office and the event. “They lead by example and continue to raise the level of social responsibility that exists within our company and our employees. They promote employees being active in the community and our local staff has taken full advantage of this! I think I can speak on behalf of all our staff that we feel blessed to work for such a wonderful company and we are thrilled that our charity event was able to raise over $100k for a very deserving, local charity. It was great to see the community and our employees come together to pull off such a successful event and we are extremely proud to know that we are making a difference in our beautiful valley.”
Alejandra Gonzales, Community Director North Central Region of The Children’s Home Society of Washington was overwhelmed by our generosity. “The Goodfellow Bros.’ staff and owners’ leadership and commitment to the children and families of North Central Washington allows us to support families when they need us most. Thank you for your extraordinary commitment and care of our community’s children!”
