Situation
Folsom Ranch is a master-planned neighborhood in Folsom, California. It offers a collection of single and two-story homes, with miles of trails, numerous outdoor recreational activities, dining, and shopping.
The ultimate buildout will include 11,000 homes and five schools.
Solution
In Phase One of the project, GBI performed more than 2.6 million cubic yards of earthwork, put down 38,000 tons of asphaltic concrete, placed 112,000 tons of aggregate base, and created 832 house pads.
GBI partnered with over 25 subcontractors to install miles of essential infrastructure to the master planned community including wet & dry utilities, two HMB basins with associated structures, a sewer lift station, and two bridges.
Notable
Because Folsom Ranch is the first development south of SR-50, GBI was responsible for developing several essential improvements to the community. We installed more than three miles of 24” gravity sewer line from the new community to a lift station, and then transitioned to a force main system that was jack and bored under SR-50, returning sewerage to existing infrastructures.
GBI was able to deliver the initial phase of construction on schedule working closely with the City of Folsom, forming a lasting relationship that continues today.
