The California region held their eight annual Little Heroes Golf Tournament on Sept. 23, 2019 at the Ruby Hill Golf Club in Pleasanton, Calif. The fun-filled event brought GBI California Region management and project teams together with suppliers, customers, and local restaurants to raise much-needed funds for The Taylor Family Foundation (TTFF).
This year, 132 golfers participated in the scramble format tournament, contributing to the record-breaking total of $100,000 donated to TTFF (nearly $500,000 has been donated over the last eight years).
One-hundred percent of the net proceeds from the event support TTFF, which enhances the quality of life for at-risk youth and children living with developmental disabilities and life-threatening and chronic illnesses through unique therapeutic experiences and support.
Located on 138 acres in Livermore, Calif., TTFF’s Camp Arroyo hosts a racially and socioeconomically diverse group of 3,000 at-risk youth and children with chronic medical and developmental disabilities throughout the year—and at no charge. Now in its third decade, TTFF has served more than 45,000 children, and has provided support to nearly 80,000 families in Northern California.
GBI is proud to support TTFF and its efforts to enhance the lives of kids and their families in the community.
