Holoholo Ka‘a annual fundraiser

On Nov. 3, 2019, GBI took part in the 2019 Holoholo Ka‘a (also known as the “touch a truck” event), an annual fundraiser for Pūnana Leo o Maui and Nā Leo Pūlama o Maui, organizations that offer Hawaiian language immersion programs.

Held on the University of Hawai‘i Maui College campus, the hands-on event gave attendees an opportunity to climb aboard and learn about various types of vehicles and equipment. Kids and kids at heart got an up-close-and-personal look at emergency vehicles, heavy machinery, construction rigs, farm equipment and more. The Maui Region was among the local businesses, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies that showcased their vehicles while sharing their expertise and operating skills.
