GBI helps to rebuild historic bridge destroyed in Paradise Fires

Honey Run Covered Bridge Rebuild after Paradise Fire

SPSG Partners – a joint venture between Goodfellow Bros., Sukut Construction and Pacific States Environmental Contractors- who aided in the Paradise Clean-up efforts, announced in December they donated $225,000 to the Honey Run Bridge Foundation. The historic Honey Run Covered Bridge was built in 1887 and was destroyed on November 8, 2018 in the Camp Fire. At the time of its destruction it was Butte County’s icon, and listed as a National Historic Place by the US Department of the Interior. With the help of the Run Bridge Foundation, SPSG Partners, Chris Souder, a professor and chair at CSU Chico, and the HRCBA, a replica of the bridge will be rebuilt for all to enjoy.
